Short routes, open ports and a time zone that works with Europe and Asia on the same day.
Dubai has been a trading town for a very long time. Long before the towers, wooden boats crossed the creek with goods from India, Persia and East Africa. The boats are still there, and so is the habit of doing business with the whole world.
Close to everyone
From Dubai, a large part of the world is within a few hours by plane. Europe is a working day away, and so are most of Asia and Africa. For a trading company this matters every week: we can visit a supplier, inspect goods and be back at our desk without losing much time.
The time zone helps too. In one day we can speak with partners in Europe in the afternoon and with partners in Asia in the morning.
Built for moving goods
The UAE has large, modern ports and good roads to the rest of the region. Shipping lines call here often, so there is usually a way to move goods without long waits. Customs processes are well organised and predictable, which makes planning easier.
Why it matters to our partners
For the people we work with, all of this means fewer delays and fewer surprises. A buyer in Europe or a producer in the Gulf deals with one company that sits right between them. That is the reason we chose Dubai as our base, and the reason we plan to stay.
